Andrew Stephenson, BSc,MSc,McSD

Born in 1968, I was first introduced to photography at the age of eight when my parents bought me my first camera, a Halina 110 instamatic. I eventually moved onto a Practica B100 (which i still have). This camera, more than any, taught me photography as it was completely manual and like most i soon got fed up of the constant blurred images i took. Coming into the digital age I started with a Canon 400D and currently own a 7D mk2 and a 1DX mk2. These choices of cameras are down to my main source of my passion for photography, Wildlife. One of the things I love about Jessops is the range of cameras and equipment we get to see so although I shoot on Canon I am just as comfortable on pretty much any modern digital camera!

From a very early age I also developed a very keen interest in computers and went on to gain my Bachelors in Computer Science, Masters in Artificial Intelligence development. This allowed me to work for some time as a contractor, working for such companies as ICL, IBM, Microsoft and Sun systems, to name but a few. This passion for computers and photography has led to me spending many hours in applications such as Lightroom, editing and enhancing my photographs.

Now I work for Jessops, where I can combine both my passion in computers, with my passion for photography and a new passion, to help people learn and understand all aspects of modern photography.
